Our Story

In a previous life, Director Mark Hughes worked as an Operations Manager within the Business White Collar Sector, where he gathered detailed training and experience around the ins and outs of the business world. His role saw him link with companies employing apprentices and overseeing these relationships and ensuring they grew and prospered.

This exposure saw Mark take a liking to trade work, who’s brother and father were already in the construction sector as a Plumber and Carpenter. So he jumped ship and moved on from his Operations role to take on work as a carpenter with his father Alan as well as Plastering work with his uncle Rodney. He learned a lot in doing this and was grateful for what he learned and the opportunity he was given to gain experience and skills in construction.

Soon after Mark undertook an Apprenticeship in Carpentry and soon after completed a Diploma in Building and Construction. This saw Marks two vastly different career pathways meet to form a business, originally as a sole trader operation, soon growing by numbers and forming the creation of Mase Group. The team continues to grow with a mix of Carpenters (Including Marks father Alan), Plasterers, Demolition workers as well as the formation of close partnerships with alike trades such as Electrical, Plumbing and diversely with trades such as landscaping and painting.

This has allowed Mase group to gain wide expertise in all things construction from the ground to a high level, from hands-on building to project management.
